My name is Amber Massey and I am the Executive Administrator. My roles at Vanguard involve assisting Pastor Kelly and all adult ministries, as well as facilitating baptisms and leading the hospitality team. I married my husband, Christian Massey, shortly after I began attending Vanguard. We have 2 lovely children, Trenton and Analiese. As a family we enjoy camping,four wheeling & motocross, hiking and gaming, but most importantly growing in our relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

My husband, Craig, and I started attending Vanguard in July of 2001. We've raised our three children here, so we know about the importance of family commitment to serving, leading, and loving others in the name of Jesus. An English professor for over 25 years, I love teaching and consider being a mom the greatest calling of my life. If I can carve out the time, I refuel my introverted self by reading, spending time with family, baking bread, and breathing in the second most beautiful state of Colorado (nothing beats Alaska!)

Hello, my job is to organize and report the finances of Vanguard church as well as lead over Facilities, Security and IT/creative. I have been going to Vanguard for 17 years as of 2023 and love hearing the truths of God told every Sunday! I love to cook and adore my 2 children Autumn and Josiah. My current favorite verse is: Jeremiah 17:7-8.

The ministry I engage at Vanguard includes intercessory prayer, leading our prayer team, overseeing the Deacon Ministry, encouraging and praying with Vanguard staff, being discipled & discipling men. Also Sandi and I do premarital counseling. Our hobbies include working out at the Y, going out for coffee, reading, going on walks. Fun fact; Sandi and I continue to meet regularly with several of our college and youth group friends for fellowship, prayer and food, that we have been in relationship for over 55 years. However, the food we eat isn't that old! 😁

My wife, Tosha and I started Vanguard in 1997. I am graduated of Liberty University and Dallas Theological Seminary. We have five kids and we are soon to be grandparents. I grew up on a dairy farm in Kentucky and I love Kentucky Wildcats basketball. Our family lives on a small farm in Colorado Springs. I love to take risks to reach the lost for Jesus. I love to read, write books and articles, and play basketball still.

Mark Bacheldor
Mark Bacheldor has been part of Vanguard Church since 2004, serving in a variety of volunteer roles including the Vanguard Elder Board (two years as Chair Elder), the Lead Shepherd Team, and the Teaching Team. His deep love for the Vanguard community and passion for helping people grow in faith have now led him to serve as the Location Pastor at Vanguard Tri-Lakes. Outside of ministry, Mark is a PGA of America Master Professional and the Director of the PGA Golf Management University Program at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He and his wife, Morgan, live in Monument, CO, with their three boys—Isaak, Dawson, and Jonas.

Hey! My name is Mikey. I'm the Creative guy here at Vanguard. I love being able to use the gifts and talents that God has entrusted me with and sharing it with others. I’m married to my best friend Pearls. I really enjoy meeting and getting to know new people. I love to explore and learn new things! I am also a part of the Spanish speaking church that meets here at Vanguard, Palabra Viva. I enjoy working out, photography, going on hikes with my wife around Colorado and drinking coffee. Can’t be creative without coffee. ;)

Hi everyone! I am the Associate Worship and Tech Pastor. My primary responsibility at Vangaurd is to make sure everyone looks and sounds great during our services. I also work for local government and lead a team that supports non-profits who serve vulnerable populations. When not at church or work I’m typically watching my kids play sports, sitting by my fire pit drinking coffee or taking a nap!

Since helping Kelly start Vanguard in 1997, I've loved leading and serving in many ways at our church. You may see me as "Lead Shep" in services, but I also enjoy serving with lots of ministries around the church and being part of the Vanguard Teaching Team! On the home front, Kelly and I have five kids, two sons in laws and one fabulous daughter in law. I think houseplants are pretty amazing, and my passion project is a non-profit discipleship ministry I started called "Family Disciple Me" (which you can check out at familydiscipleme.org)
