Widows, Orphans & Homeless Ministry
Do you know which worship song brings me to tears nearly every time I sing or hear it? Hosanna, by Hillsong. Read these words-
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen

Break my heart for what breaks yours
Break my heart for what breaks yours. What breaks the Lord’s heart? It’s obvious from reading scripture that the hurting, the oppressed, the widows and orphans are near and dear to our Savior’s heart. His heart breaks for these friends of ours in Colorado Springs who are widowed, orphaned and homeless. He calls us to serve them. He calls us to love them. He calls us to respond to the brokenness of our city.
This song, Hosanna, has another poignant verse-
I see a generation
Rising up to take the place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
