In and Out of Season

In & Out of Season is the new release from Fike and Dana. Husband and wife, Richie and Dana Fike, have been touring and playing independent music for 5 years and have now settled in Colorado Springs as worship pastors at Vanguard Church. This, their first album in 3 years, is the fruit of their experiences journeying towards the heart of God.

In the process of writing and producing the album, several truths continued to surface. Lyrically, In & Out of Season is a thorough and balanced presentation of the emotions and thoughts that go into approaching the heart of God. Relationships, community, vulnerability, joy, pain, frustration, faith and response to God’s favor; so many emotions go into the discipline of worshipping God in and out of season. These songs are designed to provide the connection we all long for in Jesus, no matter what current circumstances we may find ourselves in. Musically, Fike & Dana’s influences are palpably represented, from Shane Barnard and Robbie Seay, to Allison Kraus and Sarah McGlaughlin. This album is colored with elements of progressive production and guitar-and-a-chair songwriting.

Accidental Superhero producer, Sean Mulholland, lent his ear for production. Talented and well-loved vocalists Robbie Seay and Jon Shirley (Nickel & Dime) both cameo on separate tracks, communicating Fike & Dana’s desire for, and commitment to, community between indie artists and worship leaders.
