Believer's Baptism
We at Vanguard strongly believe in the importance of Believer's Baptism for those people who have a real relationship with Jesus Christ. The Old Testament is full of examples of baptism being used as a ceremonial way to cleanse people. In the New Testament, John the Baptist changed the meaning of baptism. He declared a new covenant from God, and the message of that covenant was "Repent and be Baptized." Baptism was no longer just a ritual; it was now identified with the concept of repentance. John the Baptist taught that baptism was an act demonstrating a repentant heart.

We do baptism a bit different than most churches. We make baptism a celebration, and we invite our entire church to attend. We share a meal together, usually after our last Sunday morning service, and then we hold our baptism in a Jacuzzi! We usually hold baptisms about 3 times per year.
If you would like to be a part of our next baptism, please give us a call or send an email to Rachel Chavez.
