Worship at Vanguard is a vital part of what makes our church unique. We strive to cultivate a culture of "Spirit & Truth" worship. We want all people to have every opportunity to engage God.  From the veteran believers to the fledgling pursuers...from the overtly expressive to the covertly introspective from the ancient hymn to the post-modern praise song...and everything in between. God is worthy of our attention, so the time we spend in worship is an attempt to set aside the busy-ness of life and put our focus on Him.

Our worship pastor, Richie Fike, weaves his own creativity into our services by leading us with original worship songs he and his wife write. To date, Richie and Dana have released three Vanguard worship albums… “In Out of Season,” “The Morning is Come," and "Make a Sound.” This has become a unique and significant element of our culture at Vanguard. These indigenous songs, inspired by our community, express the heartbeat of Vanguard’s post-modern approach to church-life.

Music has always been a bridge between the World and the church. Vanguard uses its creative ministries to open a dialogue with the unbelieving world, and to continue that same spiritual conversation with the believers of our community.
