The TreeHouse

Welcome to The TreeHouse!

We have developed a program that is specifically designed to meet the needs of kindergarten - third graders, and we call it The TreeHouse. We know that kids learn best in an atmosphere that is interactive, fun and safe! So while you enjoy a time with adults, your kids will be connecting with other kids their own age, worshiping God through great music, and growing in their own relationship with Him.

On Sunday mornings, kids will have fun learning about our eight core values (love, service, surrender, compassion, joy, self-control, obedience and faith) through strong biblical teaching that is engaging and relevant to them. Each month they will rotate through four stations: Games, Crafts, Drama, and Missions.

We take seriously the responsibility that you have entrusted to us by allowing your kids to be a part of The TreeHouse. Our leaders have a heart for loving kids and have been carefully screened and trained. Feel free to ask any questions about our leaders or programs, and we encourage you to ask your children what they learned while they were in The TreeHouse!

Laura Schwarz serves as an Associate Children’s Pastor at Vanguard. Laura joined our Children’s Ministry staff in 2007 after volunteering for 7 years in every aspect of the ministry, from changing diapers in the nursery to teaching kindergarteners and coordinating our Vacation Bible Blast. Today she oversees the ministry in The TreeHouse (kindergarten through 3^rd grade) as well as Project 4:12 (4^th and 5^th grade). She is passionate about walking with parents in their journey of leading their children spiritually. Laura and her husband Bob are kept busy with their own family ministry of raising four children, Nate (15), Caleb (13), Micah (12), and Maddie (10).
