Middle School

Often times it is easy to feel alone in this life—especially when it comes to being in middle school. We are here as a reminder that we are not alone in the struggles & changes surrounding us everyday. Instead, we are called to be in community with others & God himself.

We exist to:

• Connect students
• Bring them into a REAL relationship with Jesus Christ
• Build each other up & encourage growth
• Reach out to those around us
  
  John 13:34-35 --- "Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples--when they see the love you have for each other." (The Message)

I am so privileged to be serving as the middle school youth pastor here at Vanguard Church alongside some great volunteers (Meet our volunteers).   Looking back at the role that my youth group played in my life & continues to several years later amazes me often. God has such a powerful way of using other people to impact our lives that the opportunity can be little but exciting. I seek to help provide the opportunity that others gave me when I was in school.

End of the Month Lunch - Last Sunday of every month - the GIRLS' small groups are invited to meet at Jamie or Nikki's house after the second service (around 12:30) for lunch!!! Here are some dates:

SAT 3/8-SUN 3/9 – 30 HR. FAMINE – an overnight expereince where students will have an opportunity to stretch their world view as we look at other parts of the world where life is not so easy.

FRI 3/28-SAT 3/29 *week later due to Easter – 24 HR. MISSION TRIP – An overnight trip to DEN with a focus of serving those less fortunate than ourselves.
